GT4 for sale

Ha, and so it begins again ... same story with the GT3 but that market is calming down a bit now. Love how these bubbles grow and then eventually pop.
Key word is pop ... the price will go down once everyone calms down a bit and gets distracted by other offerings like a potential PDK version, or a 17 model, etc etc etc ...
All these above MSRP prices are ridiculous but that's the free market I guess.

I made my weekly trip to the local candy store also known as Porsche of San Antonio and the Agate Gray GT4 is still there if that color turns you on and you want one today. Sticking color and well optioned but no lightweight buckets or PCCBS so I will wait

And for $130K it will be at the candy store the next time you go.
The one thing we never discuss in the million threads about dealerships and the market adjustments is the time value of money.
So do the dealerships own the whole cost of the car and when does it go on their books? There becomes a time where sitting on inventory to a certain point starts to cost you money, or make less money on the deal. I would assume at some point you would be better off selling for a little less, make a little less but not be paying for the inventory, no?

I'll bet the guy traded the GT4 in and got another car.
You're looking at only one end of the deal, the original owner's sale. We're all car guys and I'll bet when most of us sell a car we then look to buy another.
Are the bulk of GT4 s not being delivered with PCCBs?

...the wholesale value of the car was around $137k and the retail value was $155k. The interim transaction is simply a profit split, though I imagine the $137k was probably low for what he really could have gotten for that car, even wholesale, making the retail spread on that car look bigger than it really was/is.
There is no 'worth'. There are only transactions that establish 'value'.

At a 7%+ sales tax rate, the owner in the example above got a ~$10,000 tax savings by taking the dealers lowball trade offer, which the dealer effectively gets to put in their pocket.
Of course this has nothing to do with folks flipping GT4's for profit, which I find less distasteful then the flipper-prowlers who instantly jump on some craigslister selling his aircooled for too little and then marks it up $30K.

I think $10-$15k over MSRP is a good number. I think there is a lot more people out there that have paid over MSRP but are just not willing to admit it.
I find all the " will I can not believe they are selling it for that much over MSRP " comments funny. So if you had to sell your GT4 you are going to be a nice guy and let it go for less than the market value I do not think so.
