So you gonna make with the video footage from your second outing or what?
I know we were talking earlier about the MPSC2s being surface dependent, but do you think some of the understeer can be attributed to not being able to properly build heat in the MPSC2s? Do you think the same understeer tendencies would occur if you were on A6/7 or even NT01s?

I do think understeer was connected to the lack of grip, ie heat- the car was very twitchy overall in the morning, much more so than regular Caymans. Once I got grip that went away, so my bet is on an A6/7 it wouldn't be an issue. NT01s need a little heat too, so I suspect I'd have the same problem unless I got them to them.

Interesting! Only 27.5 psi front tires when warm (33psi rear) at Hockenheim (more likely for understeer to be an issue here than at Ring).

Christian @ sport auto know For sure what pressure fit him and his speed on the track. The ring lap of 7.43 sport auto lap translate to ap. 7.23 bridge to gantry touristfharen lap. Wich is very fast. As Well Christian do talk to the Porsche development driver, very much so when lappning sport auto lap in 991 GT3 RS

Tire pressure on 991 gt3 Rs test on nur
Sport auto tire pressure on 991 GT3 RS, 2.0 front and 2.2 rear(warm pressure)
Gt3 Rs had a hard time on nur due to 36 celcius when testing, track was 48 celsius. Not optimal For any car lappning in this hot klimat, as well speedlimits

Pressure data is interesting...
Only 1.6 seconds between the RS and GT4 at Hockenheim is unexpectedly small. $60k per second... Steep curve.

We will have our 991 GT3 and GT4 out for tomorrows orange county autocross. I'll have aim solo data and she will have the porsche track app data. Should be interesting to compare.

I will be going to an El Toro Autocross in the not-too distant future with my new White GT4. Waiting to get through the break-in period.
So far, the car feels good on the street. Need to figure out ride height and alignment soon. Hoping some others will post some useful information around ride height changes.

I have some side by side video, my car vs 991 gt3 on the same course. Can't post unfortunately, but the GT3 crushes the GT4 under acceleration. It'd be great to get that comparison, I think you'll be impressed.

My PSC2s are nearly corded but we are within a few thousandths of each other. The track precision app is really cool in how you can review data so quickly after a race, at the track. I've still got to fire up my windows computer to look at whats on the AIM.

I don't mean to open up a GT3/GT4 comparison here, but I was instructing at a DE event the past couple of days and my student let me take his 991 GT3 for a session on the track. It was the first time I've driven one. The acceleration was insane, as was the howl of that engine once it got north of 7,000 RPM. I'm very excited about getting a GT4 (due in a couple of weeks) but there's no way it's going to rival a 991 GT3 on any course or road where the GT3 can put it's extra HP to work.

Haven been in both (haven't driven the GT4 yet), they feel very similar from the passenger seat.
The GT3 has the insane acceleration but the GT4 has a pretty snappy/great turning ability, its just lighter & mid engined. The GT3 can put its muscle down coming out of corners but the GT4 can really toss itself around through them.
Pretty cool. Very different yet very similar in a lot of ways.
