Not sure I'll be able to do much better than this short video on the Suncoast website:

It's really that simple. I installed them on my 981CS when I first got it in 2013, and just as easily removed them and put the amber originals back in last month when I traded it in after I got my GT4 order locked. It's less than 5 minutes worth of work.

I've seen so many clear sidemarkers on these cars that I tend to keep my amber markers to not be grouped with these degenerates. I'll be keeping amber

Just my 2cents

I see that suncoast now has the GT3RS side markers available, but not that they only fit the GT3 RS. I wonder what why they wouldn't fit. Are the from fenders also wider on the RS?

Yup, the bumper has extra back trim on top of the standard GT3 bumper to get it flush with the wide GT3-RS fender that covers the 265 series front tires.

The photo isn't as well-lit, but those lights at least from the outside appear to be identical to the clear side LEDs sold for the GT3 and 981, except they cost $30 more. Or am I missing some reason to want the RS version?

It never occurred to me to ask back in 2013, but I'll definitely do so this time. OTOH, if they say no, at least I've still got the clears from my CS.

We (GT4 folks) should not be looking at the GT3-RS versions unless you have one on order too.

See post #10 for how the wider bumper cladding of the RS requires a different clear corner design.

Am I the only person who spends more time on the GT3 forum than here? LOL.

Ha! I saw the fitment note, but I was asking why anyone was considering using the RS side markers in the first place given that they're more expensive and appear to be visually identical.

I imagine they would given that the LEDs work on the 981s that are delivered with regular bulb markers, but they'll have a visible amber bulb and won't match ROW GT4s, though if neither of those things bugs you, you should be fine.
