Porsche has a thing with model numbers and production numbers, ex. making 993 of the 993 C2S in its last model yr (1998), 991 of the 991 911Rs, etc.

And just a warning. Dealers seem to always say things like that with an air of authority that they simply do not have. They are driven more by whats suits their immediate need to sell you (or the next guy a car) so it suits them to present the car as rare, and to get you believing you better buy it now or you may never get the chance again. So I take those sort of statement with a grain of salt.
In any event if you want me to register you to your car PM me the last 6 digits of your VIN and I will mark you down as the owner.
And Congratualtions!

Carrara White Metallic is actually 7.4% but still pretty rare. I tried to order mine in CWM and was denied so it hasn't been available at all times.

Don't need the full VIN so that would normally be enough. But it seems you missed a digit, the last 6 digits should be all numbers.

Awwe man. You are actually one of those VIN's that hasn't been entered into the PCNA database yet. This is pretty common in June and July right now and I do not know why. But I have several people who aren't there yet. I marked you down for the future though so I can register you when it does show up.

Still not there
I know my GT4 exists because we picked it up at Leipzig on June 2nd and it is now in my garage here in Toronto, but PCNA doesn't seem to have it in their database yet. I am loving it even more that in Europe (though those Swiss passes were something). Signed up to track it next month. Finally will get to wind it out a bit!
