Default Minor detail, but no more keyed wheel bolts?

Did Porsche stop with the security keyed wheel bolts on the 981/991 generation? I've noticed no such thing on all the wheel photos of the GT4 so far.

Maybe it's just because the GT4 is a "track car"?

Nope, gotta buy your own wheel locks, though the emergency kit box under the frunk has a little slot for you to place a wheel lock key socket. The current locks use a spinning sleeve design.

I've never once worked about my wheels getting stolen, and that puzzle key is just a hassle at the track, especially if I'm working garage support at an event and other people leave their cars and forget to tell us where the socket is. But given that Porsche has used black 19mm lugs for a while now, you should be able to find one that works if you really want it.

FWIW, the 991 that I picked up 2 years ago came with wheel locks, no charge.

Wheel locks are useless IMO. They can be removed very easily without having the proper locking socket.

They're worse than useless - very inconvenient for the owner and not much impediment to a thief...
