extra GT4 avalable sept del.

Hahaha! Just called the dealership and they want an insane 25K over MSRP. I would never ever ever ever ever pay that. I hope no one pays that price because it would just justify their sales tactics. I am super duper surprised because I really never expected that.

"But Sir, it's still cheaper than the starting price of a GT3."
Yeah, that's absolutely absurd. Are they extrapolating this off their GT3RS markups or something?! "Oh if we can get $50-100k over those and a GT4 is a little less than half the MSRP, let's do half our RS markups".

Dealerships are for profit business and while I can't ever see myself paying over MSRP for car, I get why they do it. I don't like it but I'm as big a capitalist pig as the next guy so I get it.
What I don't get and think is extremely F'd up on Rusnak's part is why isn't this allocation being passed to the next guy/gal on the list?
They're a long, long drive for me so it probably doesn't mean anything but this is another Porsche dealer that I can scratch off my list of doing business with.

Again sorry it didn't work out but I hope you find one. It sounds like there is still a chance of a few shaking loose here and there.
#21
Thats easy. They went down the list and nobody bit. So now they're working on the "no-chance-in-h3ll-to-get-an-allocation" secondary list.
#22
WTF!?! That's approaching 911 GTS pricing.

pure rusnak
can't really fault them, as we live in a capitalist world
but it is still fugly

Wow, you were right on the number. Impressive - too bad that dealership was so predictable.

Can't say I'm surprised. With all the frothing at the mouth about this car, it makes sense. Come to think about it, the RS is going $50K over sticker and costs twice the price. Good to know they've scaled their gouging accordingly

From the looks of it, with the limited production and many glowing initial reviews, coupled with the fact that it may be the last manual transmission, normally aspirated GT car, I think they will hold their value just fine.
P.S. good luck with everyone getting one who wants one.

Oh, and to push the obscene markup. I agree that its F'd up, and don't blame them either. They would never get my business, but someone will end up paying the premium. Supply<Demand.
