V260!

My wife is definitely keeping hers. As for mine...I love it but the option to get rid of it is on the table. The GT4 will be the most expensive car I've ever purchased so I'll have to keep an open mind about potentially replacing the M3 with a cheaper daily driver. To me the GT4 is THE car I have been waiting for to own long term (I've been hunting for a "last of the NAs" manual sports car to settle down with...sold my 460whp 98 NSX Turbo to make room). I feel like it may be the last of a breed and one I can "grow old together with" lol. If it goes down like that I would try to convince her to use my Yas Marina Blue with the carbon fiber roof and sell hers because the blue is just too awesome of a color and her sunroof is a buzzkill.
Oh, will we run into each other at our dealer when they arrive from what will likely be the same truck? I also need it a week earlier than our 9/4 ETA because I'm actually going to visit Germany for Labor Day week with a museum/factory tour scheduled. My GTS arrived exactly a week earlier last summer around the same time frame so I'm hoping for a similar outcome. What color was yours Accel?
But the thought has crossed my mind that this may be the last crazy car purchase I make for 18-22 years.Lastly...I apologize for the thread-jacking
When is your GT4 coming in? You should come down to Spring Mountain for the PCA Las Vegas DE event on Sept 12/13 and track the 650S. I'd love to check out the 650S and finally meet you in person.
Dude... You are hilarious. I almost spit out my drink...
I was considering an M4 or M3 until my wifey was on board with the GT4. She said go for it, but the stipulation was that we agreed not to talk about it ... it just doesn't exist in her mind, lol!
I also agree with keeping the YMB M3 w/ carbon fiber roof if you can convince her. Sunroof is a buzzkill on an M3 or M4.
The GT4 is getting some rave reviews from owners and the media. And yes, a manual with 385 hp NA engine in this day and age... its a keeper. Especially on a chassis as highly regarded as the 981.

Would love to meet in person, and hit that event. Mid-September is going to be bad for me, unfortunately.
But I suspect we'll find some other event to meet up at since we're often on the same side of the planet. I'll post pics (somewhere) of the McLaren when I get it.

My E92 M3 has the sunroof only because I didn't like the CF look with my color (Le Mans Blue) and I actually do use it when out on Hill Country roads out here. I'm not nearly a good enough driver for the weight to meaningfully affect my driving even on track, although it does make its presence known a tiny bit when I'm wearing a helmet. The things we put up with, right?
My GT4 is tentatively hitting US soil in November.

Funny you should mention it...I'm also forbidden to mention the car around my wife lol. I find myself occasionally slipping up and trying to tell her about the latest build status or something. Usually does not end well. One of those things she knows I just go and do...not sure why she is surprised anymore.
Two adult daughters.
Yeah, my wife also 'puts up' with the car affliction. She did put her foot down and let me know that if one new car was coming in, another one had to go. Fair enough, so the C4 goes bye-bye.
Initially in the GT4 hunt I floated the idea of ED to pick it up. Unfortunately with the July allocation I was offered that was not possible. Both of us were pretty bummed out we aren't able to do a Fall ED, like we were hoping for originally. Had it worked out that way I think she would have 'bonded' with the car as apposed to just picking it up at the dealer later next month.

I think I finally made a breakthrough with my wife. I will once again back to having 2 vehicles that can't fit the whole family at once. (If and when I get the GT4)
