Obviously if I had a custom order the extended tank is a no-brainer and I would want it. But I'm hesitant to take a car with the regular tank. Should I jump on a car now or roll the dice for a car with the extended tank?
Fits in the frunk nicely vvvv. I did not opt for the large tank ( actually forgot ) and have no problems. I save money every time I fill-up I always look at my gas gauge before pulling out of the garage. I do only have a range of 200 miles with a full tank. After my charity drive this past weekend I filled up and it gave me a range of 168

If you do a lot of road trips, the calculus could change. I'm glad I ordered the larger tank but other options are more important to me.
+1 - I also have it and am glad I do, but would not pass on a car you like if it did not have it, unless you daily drive and are putting in a lot of miles so you don't want an extra stop every 5 fill ups or so.

Oh well, pretty much a moot point now. In the 20 minutes I waffled some other buyer stepped up to the plate to make the 6hr drive tomorrow.

I selected the 64 liter tank. It gives one a bit more flexibility.

Sorry to hear the car passed you by - there will be others! Good luck finding what you are looking for!

I have the smaller tank. No complaints. You will get about 22 mpg on the highway. Thats decent range because I need a break after about 3 hours anyways.

Car with larger tanks will trigger alarm and throw a hissy fit if you choose to take breaks before the tank is empty. Fact.

I got both the free larger tank and the free larger bladder options. They really work well together and saved me the cost of Scotch Guarding my seats.

Well, apparently in addition to a manual transmission, the GT4 has a fuel gauge properly calibrated for the tank in the car. I just filled my "extended range" tank, drove about 20 miles and the gauge level dropped down noticeably, about 1+ gallons worth.

This is great to hear. Mine is coming with the extended range tank and not having the gauge calibrated properly would certainly bug me.

Not having the extended range tank wouldn't be a big deal but with the opportunity to spec the car, it's an obvious option to include.

I got all the other lightweight or track options and got the bigger tank as some have said- continually running to the pump at track days is a bitch
