That link only shows the roll bar. Doesn't include the harness bar, shipping, or powder coating

I know. Thats why yours with options is the same price as the 981 one over here. I didn't include your specialized coloring since that is too individualized and IMHO distracted from apples to apples. Their shipping is too high IMHO. It costs less than that to ship from Germany per the DHL website.

Don't forget that those prices include the 19% vat, which you don't have to pay.

True, but shipping more than makes up for that in case the company is willing to go through that trouble, doesn't have a distribution contract, etc. And if you have a family member, friend, forum friend/member buy and ship it you will have to pay VAT first before you can attempt to get it back.

The vendor referenced by BK shows the 981 version for $1695 + S&H in the US. That same vendor on their German site shows it for approx $800 + S&H including VAT. I used 1:1.09 for currency conversion.

I think you can do the rest, put 2 and 2 together from here.

Disclaimer
I don't begrudge a business a profit. But from the example cited its a little over the top IMHO.

And John has been extremely forthcoming with his advice to all of us on the forums. If he can figure out a way to resurrect the power that was lost on the intake side of the engine then he'll get that business from me too. It's pretty cool that he is getting a GT4.

That is one sweet looking piece !!!

Does that mean " you cracked the code" John, or is it an "add on" piece.

One way or the other, does it work for for a 981 GTS ?????

Pins and needles here.........

The last I checked, my car won't be in until November. I have a firm allocation but I'm holding out for the LWB's. I'll contact you when I get the news that it is in production. What are your plans for your GT4?

I want to answer this but i am afraid to go off-topic. I know that there is a GT4 mod thread somewhere. If not, let's start one up. It however might be worth resurrecting.

That looks like a half cage to me. Got any pics of just the harness bar?

Looking forward to see how close you get to the Germany market pricing identified in post 1 of this thread.

This is the nicest one I have ever seen !!! Drool ....
Question: that bar is set up for an older style Cayman no ? 987 vs 981 ??
I wonder if they are going to make one for this GT4 ? with the reinforced mounting pts etc ?
That bar also looks like you can remove certain part of the cage and is more modular ?
TIA
Regards
Ed
