I would've been trouble with that car at your age, but you're probably more emotionally mature than I was then (most kids today are).

Nice to see a young kid with a manual gearbox on a sports car. If you don't know already, good to learn the skill of heel-toe downshifting (before relying on the included Sport button).

Enjoy!

Haha thanks! I've been DDing a manual for almost 5 years now; currently DD a boxster spyder. I don't see myself really using the sport button much but we'll see. I've never driven a manual with a type of sync rev but pretty curious to see how it works/feels!

Yeah, I had my arthrotomy to remove floating pieces at Scripps. Unfortunatly it was a wasted surgery as I had (created) more pieces only 6 months post-op. The scary part is seeing all of the Depuy/Striker hips being recalled.

Frankly I was very disappointed and even livid that despite my strong interest in cars and my conservative spending lifestyle, a fellow gear head (of e46 m3's and Audis) would not share my enthusiasm for purchasing my first car. Guess I'm not ever sharing my passion for cars with anyone else in my workplace.
I wouldn't worry much about it. I bet the balance due on his mortgage is more than the purchase price of your GT4.

I find this to be one of the more fascinating threads to follow on Rennlist, given the wide array of careers of potential Cayman GT4 owners. I guess I just find it interesting because I have spent many hours wondering just how many people absolutely MUST have a 3.8L Cayman in their lives! I wish you all best of luck with the deliveries of your new cars and we expect lots of pics!

To answer the OP's original question, private equity analyst turned race team manager / principal turned Porsche retail / service / race support small business owner. A.K.A. The guy who wants to work on your new car!

P.S. We have revamped our web site and added some stories with photos of the work we have been doing! http://www.teambgb.com/Default.asp

Hello Steven,

I see you are in LA. Do you ever run on NOLA Motorsports Park? When do you anticipate getting your GT4 delivered? Perhaps I will see you over there with my new Red Gt4

Eternal optimist, but with a day job in organic plumbing (yes for humans!)

Seriously, I am hoping to be John's future client for him to turn my vehicle into a podium winning DE machine! (hint: not the raptor in my avatar )

You are welcome

Seriously, I would love a GT4 but I have 100% faith in John to build me what I need.

Side note: Took the Cayman GTS to Mosport yesterday, only mod was nitto 01 tires (stock camber) and it was outstanding and that's me coming from a 996 GT3. Slight improvements in gearing and AERO are necessary at the end of the back straight but WOW. You GT4 guys/docs/nerds are gonna smile all day long!

Cheers
Vince
