I'm not sure if it matters. If you know you are gonna wrap it, I think its good to go with black. That way the inside of the doors don't jump out at you

It's true, brighter colors are very sensitive to the surface they're on and the number of coats. Take a look at a new Porsche's mirrors vs bumpers vs body in different colors. Say for example you have a mark on a quarter panel in white you're going to need to blend a whole lot of the car to try to fade at the paint differences. If it's black, less blending is required.
It's all a trade-off, with black being more painful in terms of swirl visibility etc.
