Fair enough. The combination of visual emmissions system inspection in Atlanta (mirror on a stick held under the car), plus the smell were enough for me to opt for the 200cell catted version. Particularly when the Soul catless (competition) only offers 8 peak hp gain over catted, and then from 6500-7500 actually dips below the catted version. Saving a grand is nice though. Cats must have gone way up; my headers were only $2500 in 2020.

Exhaust modifications should not void warranty,

Do you think that cat/de-cat makes a difference here? Less than 24 hours away!!

It shouldn't. But I think we all know the reality of dealerships finding a way out of warranty work if they can. But install on headers is easy enough that you can swap it in and out before going to the dealer if something happens. The bigger problem is tuning for lack of cats and taking full advantage of that setup and the likelihood of the tune being noticed.

Yea I'm thinking I might just go with a cute X pipe for now, already have BMC filters at the house and haven't even picked the car up yet.

Wait out the 2 years and do headers and tune, I don't have much planned for the car besides a GT4 lip and maybe a set of wheels.

Another option is to do something like a softronic tune. You can flip back and forth between stock tune and modified if you need to. You can clarify with Scott, but I don't think the oem flash is detectable.

Quite a few people replace the over the axle pipes with Soul or equivalent.

Wait - you picked it up in the rain? Well, we know what you’re doing today.

Joking - congrats and enjoy!

Haha they were closed on Sundays and there was no way I could wait another week. She's seeing the detailer today then getting tucked away covered in the garage til next weekend. The trek home was a nerve wracking for sure, but the thing is a Panzer!

And thanks so much man! Surreal!

Funny sidebar that dawned on me today - my girlfriend is also German and Black 😂😂
