I recently bought a set of tow strap for my 981 gt4 from suncoastparts.

It says it fit the car but after I installed it, the strap is placed vertically instead of horizontally. Not sure if this can be fixed?

 

Shouldn't matter beside looks. It there an adjustment on it anywhere or just a straight bolt? Either way, I would ditch that strap and get the rennline hooks. That thing is going to beat the hell out of your bumper.

 

Why would it touch the bumper? The hook on the strap is sticking out of the car though. And unfortunately I don’t see any adjustment on the strap..

 

At speed that strap is going to be flopping around.

 

Did you hand thread? You should be able to get the last 1/4 turn using a ratchet extension.

The strap is supposed to be completely outside the car…that’s how they are on the Clubsports.

 

Thanks I’ll try but I’m pretty sure there’s nothing left on the thread. The one on the rear is even further from being straight than 90 degrees

 

Any solution to this? I got my tow straps installed and they look bad as the threads make it line up vertically like the photos
