I recently replaced my OEM wet cell battery with an AGM battery I bought at Costco. I had the car recoded so that the charging system would know I was now using an AGM battery. No issues whatsoever.
And before you ask, no, I did not use a temporary power supply while I swapped out the battery and yes, everything worked after the new battery was installed - other than the clock needing to be set to the current time.

A local independent did the recoding for me. He didn’t have PIWIS, just one of the aftermarket diagnostic tools. Sorry, I don’t recall which one he used.
UPDATE: Just stumbled on the pic below in another thread. I’m pretty sure it’s what my Indy used.
