I've been on RL since 2007.
First P car was a 1996 C4S. Beautiful car, but the more I learned, the more I realized it didn't quite have the dynamics I was looking for. I did really enjoy participating in the RL 993 board, lottsa DIY and technical discussions.
Next = 2004 GT3- Speed Yellow, PCCBs an amazingly nice example. Loved the engine and brakes and the aesthetics grew on me. At least the exterior did, never really appreciated the interior. RL GT3 board was also pretty good regarding DIY and technical discussions.
Now on to the GT4 content.
I found this on RL last January. Started a few conversations with the owner and bought it when he decided to sell.
So far the ownership experience is very positive. Not sure how the DIY and technical discussions will go on this board, but I think that's a function that newer cars are harder to work on or don't need much in the way of DIY repairs rather than the board members not being inclined to DIY.
Only things I've changed thus far are;
Took off the "mouse fur" steering wheel and installed leather
Installed PORSCHE script just above the rockers, all other red accents are CXX additions.
Only change I recommend is to pull the wheel loose from the column prior to completely removing the fixing bolt. Remove bolt 75%, pull wheel off column ~ 1/4", then remove bolt and wheel.
PS, note alignment of wheel to column to ensure correct re-install orientation.
