Hi Carlton,
Without getting too deep into the myriad of details and differences in the broad stroke of "3.8L or 4.0L GT3/GT4 engine"
Here are the models available to be converted.
2016 GT4/ Boxster Spyder
718 GT4 4.0L/ Boxster Spyder
997.2 Carrera S/GTS
991.1 Carrera S/GTS
991.1 GT3 RS
991.2 GT3/GT3RS 4.0L
ANY 997.2, 987.2S, 981 Cayman/Boxster WITH a 3.8L conversion can then go to the 4.5L

I recently stumbled on this 4.5L Spyder Short. This build seems to have a different/higher pitch compared to the others I've heard online that have a lower tone and sound more guttural.
Rick, do you know which setup is on this car to give it this higher-pitched tone? This one sounds amazing.

I have joined the 4.5 tribe
Well, my 981 GT4 is in Rick's shop now being transformed. I went 'Full Monte' including gearing and LSD. I'm interested in hearing from California owners about the fuel they use. I'm out on the track 3 to 6 days every month, otherwise I only use the car for 'spirited driving' on the Mountain Roads here in the SF Bay Area. I have access to 100 octane fuel at a station 10 miles away and at Laguan Seca and Sears Point. (There used to be a source in my neighborhood, but they switched that 'tank' to diesel.) I've heard that the engine will preform well on 91 octane too.
I had an idea that I could buy a second Cobb Accessport and store a 91 octane tune there so I could use either type of gas depending on the situation.
My car is due back in San Jose California from Nyack around the end of September. I'm scheduled to drive Laguan Seca October 26-27. (Actually, I'll be at Laguna Sept 7th, Sept 21-22 and Oct 5th, but I'll have to drive my 981 GTS 3.4 for those days while I 'run in' the new engine.)
Pictured below is the GT4 at Laguna during a 3 day PCA event last September. The day after the photo was taken the Variocam assembly disassembled itself when the aluminum bolts sheared. I waited 7 months for repair. Shortly after that repaired was complete, a 'mystery' chunk of plastic fouled a timing chain and destroyed the freshly repaired engine. Rick sourced me a low mileage used motor as the 'core' for my 4.5. Onward and upward.

You don't need a separate Accessport for a different tune; multiple tunes are stored on a single AP and you connect it to the car to swap between them. Flashing to a different tune is a 5 minute job.

Great! I have owned the Cobb since before I acquired the GT4. I used it on my 981 3.4. And I have used in on my GT4 3.8. I found it very easy to use. I did not know if I could store more than one 'custom tune'
Thanks!
Thanks!

I absolutely love my DeMan 4.5 Spyder, but have something I would like to do with cash if I sold it... So I would consider it. Just picked it up from service yesterday and a clean bill of health!
16 Spyder, 51.5k Miles (DeMan goodness at 44k miles). There have been lots of additions since my ownership.
