Default If I sold....

My car is hard to compare to a lot of other stuff as I was a bit of a nut with options lol. I’ve got about 7500 miles on my GT4. Never tracked, full clear bra on the front and I think I got almost every interior option available (lighted door sills, all the leather- full dash, door sills, etc and all alcantara you can find. My sticker was $108k and i don’t have ceramics. Car is white w red stitching.

I also bought an 8 year extended Porsche warranty so it’s essentially certified. I don’t need to sell, but after 3 years I think I might want something new. Guesstimates on the “actual” worth?? Could I get over $95k or is that crazy?

You didn't say if you have LWBs or not, but I think those seats add value. I think the PCCBs do, too. But, the other options you mention are ones that will lose value; I personally wouldn't pay much extra for them. Perhaps the full leather will retain a good bit. And, white is a fairly popular color. However, assuming you have the buckets, and with only 7.5k miles, I think $95k (or more) is a bit optimistic, and upper $80s to around $90k is where a seller might start. Ask $89,981, and expect to have to negotiate down a few thousand. Perhaps with the advent of spring, more buyers will show more of an interest. Just my $0.02...I've been wrong before, just ask my wife!

I have LWB. I was coming from a 911 which is why I over spent on the full leather dash and various bits. It really does make a difference. I don’t disagree it wasn’t a good resale decision!

$85k (what I was thinking) makes it an easy decision to hold. Hell I’ve got 4 years of warranty left !!

Default This car is SO GOOD!

I Found myself tracking this car 80% of the miles I have put on her and loving it more all the time. In my mind there is only one way to truly enjoy it's potential. DRIVE the crap out of it. It's made to go the distance at that pace. Still beautiful but not perfect and the most satisfying car I have ever driven.

Just like the quote I love - Why would you not ride your awesome girlfriend to save her for someone else? Makes absolutely no sense to me and $100k is actually cheaper than most girlfriends! Off to the track next weekend to trash another set of tires!

One with fewer miles and a $120k MSRP sold for $82k not long ago.
Hold.

Plus, what comparable car can you buy in that price range?
New 'Vette maybe. GT350R? Slim pickings.

I agree... $85-$88 is realistic

Friend just paid a click over $90 for a similar car with under 3k miles.

Dealer offered me $75k. I said “ok so your telling me keep it”. Honestly when I think about depreciation on this vs 911 (and my love for the car) I’m just going to keep it a few more years. The $75k was like splashing water on my face 😂

If you paid MSRP of $108k, losing $33k in 4 years is to be expected...........especially on a high MSRP car. You'd lose a little less if sold in private party sale.

I agree. What became clear to me with the $75k wholesale number and best case $85k private sale, that if I love the car (and I have 4.5 years of warranty) if I keep this car for 3 more years the cost of ownership will be way lower than what I replace it with.

Great perspective, especially if you are still enjoying the GT4!

You didn’t overspend on options if you have and will continue to enjoy them. Spec and buy the car for yourself and less about resale. These are emotional purchases.
