It's the 2.25" OD thing that bugs me with the PSE, and the PSE was designed for the 3.4L.
So even though a 2.5" OD (23% more area) may only contribute somewhat minimal HP and temperature benefits, it just seems more appropriate for >3.8L.
There are a few systems out there, including the Akrapovic, that use a muffler system similar to stock, but use the larger pipe.

If I were running 4.0L and up, I'd run the following. It's a great buy for the $. But they have no presence here, so no one gives them the time of day.
FVD 2.75"
FVD 2.75"
I've always hypothesized the exhaust is restricting peak power in that 7600rpm to 8100rpm range. I think the GT3 makes do with 2.5" so not that much bigger but good for 500+ hp.
I would love to try this FVD system but tossing the pse is less than ideal....

I got a broadcast e-mail from DeMan regarding their proactive efforts relative to the WuFlu. My compliments to them for doing so, for taking the actions that they are, and I hope they post that information here as well. The embedded video is addictive!

I took my tiny Deman built 4L out last night to charge the batteries and top off the the tank before they shut down the city. Nice cold air and short gears the 4L can spin the tires through half of 2nd gear, the big boy 4.5L can do that in 3rd - can't wait to upgrade!

You're tying to make me feel bad about going back to a GT3.🤣

So as expected she's healthy which we've now proven on the dyno. First results were a few weeks back, but we had wanted to do some compare runs between the stock muffler and the GT3 muffler to verify, but you know some stuff has been going on the last few weeks for all of us Anywho, Rick had suspected about a 20hp loss existed due to the exhaust....turns out he was right. What else is new .
Charts are below, the compare line is against the stock PSE muffler, as you can see 19hp loss going that route and definitely a dip in the torque curve down low in the 3k RPM range. Overall I'm SUPER happy with the results and Rick tells me she runs like a champ, super smooth, no vibrations, one of his favorite builds.
Look I'm not chasing HP numbers with the build, 488hp is more than often to get into trouble. If someone figured out an exhaust that got me the extra power, GT3 tone, and no drone I'd add it onto the car. Until then PSE it is for me.
Big thanks to Rick for everything thus far, I'm super excited to get my hands on the car once the gears go in
