What are your thoughts on bucket seats? One has buckets. I will not be racing on the track except for educational track time. I have "regular" seats in my 2016 Spyder and like them.
Please advise
For me, they are very comfortable. Height adjustment is nice - I thought the GT2 seats in the Cayman R were a bit too high.
Once you learn the technique, they are easy to get in and out of. Try to find some to try out if you can.
Buy the one you like best. That is all that matters. I watched the market for over a year before I found the car I wanted. And one of the required options for me were the LWBs. As good as standard seats are in the Cayman, the LWBs are incredible. I understand they aren't for everyone, but I cannot imagine skipping that option.
I have a deposit on one of the cars that is why I was being coy.
Car 1: No CPO No options 2500 miles high 80s
Car 2: CPO Buckets 9500 miles mid 80s
Which one is the 2015 build? If the 2016 build has no CPO-stay away unless the tranny has been replaced already. Generally the 2015 builds have very little 3rd gear failures...

Bought mine with 3k miles (private party) and really took a lot of satisfaction in how new the car was. Reality is though that I love driving this car. I’m at about 5k now. 10k will hit sometime next year most likely and I won’t even flinch. If you are buying a GT4 and are going to fear putting miles on it then you have missed the point and are truly missing out on the best part of ownership - the Drive! Find the car with the right specs for you, buy it, drive it, love it and you’ll never look back.
