AutoX car: 981 Spyder vs GT4 vs 991.2 C2S?
I am looking for feedback: my significant other really wants to become more competitive at AutoX events, and we are shopping for a car (eventually). Which would you choose, and why? This will also be her DD.
She has driven a GT4 in an AutoX event and loved it: the car is extremely capable. I think the Spyder might be more "fun". The C2S (especially with RWS) might not suck either, but I have no experience there.
This is a cross post over on the 991 forum. I am interested to hear the responses!

From an autocross standpoint, small and lightweight cars like the Miata and BRZ can dominate. The 991 is a quick car and with the right driver, can be one of the fastest out there. But in my opinion, it's too big and a bit more power than you want for autocross.
The 981 is a very competitive choice in the autocross scene.
I agree that the Spyder will be the most fun. Which clubs are you running with? Most autocross groups have no problem with convertibles that have roll bars, but it's worth double checking.
From a daily standpoint, many will argue (myself included) that the Spyder is perfectly reasonable. But convertibles aren't for everyone when it comes to a daily, especially one with a manual roof that requires getting out of the car to setup.

I've never done AutoX (more of a road course guy), but I think the 991.2 C2S might be pretty good with the low-end torque and the short wheelbase (actually shorter than 981) and at low speeds the (apparent) wheelbase shrinks further with rear wheel steering.
