OP, do you drive with your seat in the fully or almost fully lowered position? If you do, there is very little clearance between a few of the parts between the seat and the rails, especially if the angle adjusters are installed.

If this is your case, try raising the seat a small amount, say about half second on the up button.

Quote: All bolts? Not just the floor? ...I can promise you, I'm the heaviest GT4 driver there is.. and they do not knock.
I didn't remove the seat and try all bolts. Just the rails to the floor.

To my knowledge I don't have the adjusters but I will check by raising the seat a hair.

I raised the seat a short click on the height adjustment and the clunk goes away. It seems to be knocking when the seat is fully slammed. Next time I take it for track maintenance I'll have them look at it.

Keep us posted... You don't have a cage do you? We have the issue if the seat is all the way back the top hits on the CS aft cage.

Mine has been doing this since day one. With the seats low the little bit of play in the lifting mechanism allows the rails to touch. Put your hand down the left side while driving you will feel the movement. Raise the seat a bit and they can’t make contact. If you lower the seat with a helmet on for track be careful you stay above the sweet spot. It’s kinda distracting on track.

I did did a bunch of searching at the time and found some old issues with cayman seat tracks but could not find any other mention with gt4

Ah yes! I knew I couldn't be the only one. I was thinking about seeing if I could get little sticky rubber stoppers to put between the contact points.

I do like the chair completely slammed for track work. My helmet rubs the just about with the seat slammed ceiling as is.

it's not a noise more of a feel of the seat bottoming out on its base
