lots of great suggestions above but I would focus on a few things to make the car easier to drive and enable you to manage cost/weekend but then spend remaining budget on coaching
based on that I would go with the following
  1. TPC toelinks (high speed braking will feel much more stable)
  2. shims to get to negative camber; no need to go to extreme
  3. switch to 19" wheels and RE71R tires the cost of the 19" wheels will be made back by savings on tires in a season
run this for a period of time and spend extra money on coaching as that will provide more improvement than any other changes you will make to the car

slicks are fun and will make you faster but so do engine mods.... focus on coaching instead.

This thread would be a good place to start. No need to re-invent the wheel:

Many have also found upgraded springs really help even out tire wear. Might be in Orthojoe's thread or may be somewhere posted by USCTrojan.

Hi GeoJoe,

Were these the P-zero's? What sizes did you run?

Thanks,
Dan

Hey Dan... I've been running take off slicks from the Pirelli World Challenge series, where I think these are used on Ferarris. They are 255/650/19 in the front and 295/680/19 in the rear. I've heard that they are not running this tire anymore, so this size and version are becoming much harder to find.
