Why hasn't my GT4 sold?

Those of you with GT4s who are think ing of selling, my advice would be to sell now because when the details of the next GT4 and GT4 RS are released, the price of the current GT4 will drop thru the floor. The next GT4 and GT4RS will have the 4.0l motorsport motor with 420hp and 480hp respectively making the original GT4 an unwanted child as a result of just having a regular Porsche motor.

Without regard to GT4 values now or in the future, regardless of what the next GT4 is, assuming there is one, which I hope, it will never detract from the amazing car that the GT4.1 is, according to the vast majority of people who have driven them. A new one is likely to be "better" but that doesn't make the existing one any less.

There are 76 GT4's on Cars.com right now, and pricing is all over the place. A lot of guys own them at the "old" money and think they can still get out relatively unscathed, but that's not happening. They were due, overdue, for a price adjustment, and I think we're seeing it happen right now. Loaded, PTS, and super-low mile cars will still bring all the money, but if you have a 5k car with average equipment and a common color I would expect to find a buyer at $10k back of MSRP today. I think they're going to hold pretty strong from that point, as there's not much in that price point that's special and has the whole package that the GT4 has. There are a lot of potential buyers sitting on the sidelines and watching the market, probably spooked by the wide range of pricing for seemingly similar cars. As soon as things settle down and sellers accept the true market I think we'll see a lot of these cars find new homes.

From my understanding, the strut issue would be across all 981/991 as well due to front end suspension/design?

Interesting thought, when does a GT4 become faster then a GT3? With the superior mid engine dynamics, does a 4.0 GT4 with 450hp make it faster over the 500hp GT3? Does 475? How much power can Porsche get away with before it’s too close for comfort? I bet a GT4 with the 450hp 3.0 turbo from the GTS makes the GT4 faster then a GT3. So you can probably count that engine out...

Routing of air intake and moving oil filter from top to bottom (for accessibility) is different than trying to squeeze in 2 turdbos on top of that.
