GT4 wing riser comparison
Since I was upgrading from BBi to Salter Aero I thought it would be a good chance to take a pic for comparison. On the right is the stock wing riser, in the middle is the BBi one piece riser, and on the left is the one piece Salter Aero. Enjoy

Other than aesthetics, is there any purported advantage of the Salter or BBI over the other?
(On the strength of aesthetics alone, for me it ranks OEM.......................BBI...Salter)

If I was concerned about rear visibility the Salter would get my nod. But at the same time I'm also looking at aesthetics and matching with the OEM seal and then I would have to pick the BBI.
Regardless, raising the wing will change the aero balance F -> R. And for track I prefer a known. Otherwise if I just did street driving I would pick the BBI.
Regardless. Since I'm not changing mine the price of these ($1k = BBI & $1.6k = Salter), even when considering the Porsche luxury tax, makes this a no brainer for me: stick with OEM and use the saved $ for track.

The SalterAero also comes with new covers to match but BBI uses the OEM covers where their "finishing" does not match with the OEM covers.
I have talked to multiple people upgrading from other wing raisers to SalterAeros; I guess at the end of the day you get what you pay for.
OP, please post photos after you install the SalterAero raisers!

As I investigate wing uprights I keep coming back to the picture at the top of this thread. I keep reading that the bbi should raise the wing about an inch less than Salter but the comparison makes these look taller

Optical illusion. Draw a line through the mounting points and you'll see.

Personally, I have hesitated for about two years before deciding which higher uprights I would go wrt look, cost, visibility, downforce, drag...
I agree the Salter Aero cost an arm and leg, but at the end I could not resist. I must say that I have no regrets at all. See my pictures in different situations and angles, and make-up your own opinion. For me they are the ones which really make the car looks closest to what a GT4 RS would be...
