I spec'd my GT4 without sport chrono but after driving a friends GT4 these last few days that has one im kinda diggin' the look of the dash with it. At the time i spec'd my car i couldnt justify $1800 on a fancy clock...
I know anything is possible when you throw cash at something but is adding sport chrono something that drops right in or are we talking dashboard removal/cutting type of work?
As you might suspect, this topic has come up with a number of us who made similar decisions. The clock installation is a challenge I did not take up, but it seems a lot of the software is installed in all cars and merely has to be activated in non-SC vehicles. This is a summary of the links and reports I worked with.

I activated the G Force and Shift Assist when i took delivery of my car.
I simply wanted the clock on the dash but it appears as though that would be a pretty substantial undertaking. No worries... I can add an AIM Solo DL for $700 and it's worlds better than the sport chrono features and still save $1100.
I thought I read that someone added the chrono system that allows to use the Porsche track app, without having to add the clock. I believe everything worked as it was a true plug-n-play. I could be mistaken, but it was covered in one of these previous threads.
