ABS - can you feel it?
Enjoying my 981CS. Was at VIR in Wednesday and was working on braking later and harder.
ABS was set to 3. I am running Michelin N2 slicks on about 6-8 HC. Ran several consecutive 2:01.xx throughout the AM but could not feel the ABS no matter how hard I braked.
I have the racing style non power assist dual MCs. Should I be able to feel it kicking in? I could feel it in my 991 GT3 and 981 GT4 when I tracked them.
Maybe I need to go to the gym.
Thanks.

718 CS. Mechanical dual master cylinder. ABS set to 2. Yes, I can tell when I get into ABS.

What front pads are you running? I have experience with PFC 15 compound and 82 compound. In my use case, 82 seems to be better for feeling the ABS and last longer.
15 better initial bite and modulation. Running 332 rear compound.

TBH I am not sure. I have a set of new rotors and pads from Apex but since the ones that came with the car are in good shape, I’m running them for now. I assume they are the enduro pads from PMNA.

Those pads are almost done. Looks to be about 30%-35% remaining. I'm not familiar with Apex as a source for rotors and pads. I source thru PMNA when I have time for their process, or my shop sources directly thru PFC. Anyways, based on your OP, I might suggest you try the 82 compound front and 332 rear.

Ok, thanks, that’s good to know.
I had recommendations to try:
Girodisc rotors
Ferodo FRP DS3.12 pads
so this is what I have on hand.
I’ll contact PFC about the 82 and 332 pads and give them a shot before the current rotors are done

Is there a Ferodo fitment compatible with PFC calipers? Assuming your CS has PFC calipers, sure look like em' in the photo.

Apex Performance is great! Knowledgeable, friendly, prompt. In the fall , they sell gift certificates 20% off. Ferodo dealer. I got a set to replace PFCs, which were crumbling on my car.
Seem to work fine. G-loc also has their compounds. 20% off for Chin instructors.

Let us know how you like the ferrodo on clubsport. No experience here with Ferrodo. Ran Pagid's on street/track cars and now PFC on CS

What pressure are you achieving when pressing the pedal? You should also be able to see the ABS in the data. It has a channel which if I recall is more of a binary on or off. And as for going to the gym, that might not be a bad idea! The pedals take a lot of pressure and changing the workout routine can help.

The dash should blink when you engage ABS or traction control.
It take a lot of quad pressure for these brakes. Try moving the seat a bit more forward for better leverage.
Get someone with good data to share it with you.
What top speeds are getting to?
