Default Help with understand Pirelli tire life

I ran a 987.2 with a good aero wing, ITC splitter and canard with take-0ff pirelli tires for 8 years and felt like I was pretty fast and got a lot of heat cycles out of the tires.

When i bought my CS I have run mostly new Pirelli's. Problem is where I got 5-10 good HC's with the older car (albeit w/ better aero) I now really need 2 sets of stickers to get through a IGT weekend with enduro.

What am i missing. Was the better aero masking the tire degradation? Does the CS have less mechanical grip?

Please help me understand this.
