I just ordered the new Apex Enduro line wheels that are designed for a 981 CS. They require MR lug nuts. Once I get these lug nuts, can I use the MR lug nuts with my two other sets of standard 981 CS wheels?

No. The MR nuts are longer and as I recall, are not fully threaded. Don't have them in front of me but I think only the outward end is threaded - using them with the standard wheels will result in only a few, if any, threads engaging.

I assume that Apex has measured the MR nuts and ensured they work - both thread depth and seat area. The CS wheel studs only have threads in a specific place and the nut must match.

I'm not as compulsive as you are. I've been doing what you are worried about, with no apparent ill effects.

Sorry this took so long, but MR lug nuts are longer, partially unthreaded toward the wheel. I guess they are necessary for MR wheels, maybe others.
