Default Data in a 981?

Are there commonly used data acquisition systems in the 981? Lap times, video, easy with a Catalyst, etc. How about temps, pressures, throttle, brake pressure? I may not be able to intelligently use all that, but just curious.

I believe both Aim and Vbox will get a range of data via Can connection (I have Aim in a 718). I find video with brake pressure and throttle displayed especially useful. You may want to also post in the Data Acquisition sub forum here: Data Acquisition and Analysis for Racing and DE - Rennlist - Porsche Discussion Forums

Cheapest way is an OBD dongle and a free smartphone app like Track Addict or Harry's Lap Timer. Gets you basic data from the engine (RPM, boost, gear, etc) and lap times and video. From there, the sky is the limit. See the thread referenced above.

Motec, AIM and VBOX are all common on the 981 clubsports. The PCA trophy east/west cars all had Motec C125s. It’s easier, and recommended, if you have the Manthey CAN box. OBD2 is too slow for many signals.

I ended up putting a VBOX HD2 in my Clubsport. I asked a bunch of owners, instructors, and shops and most recommended that direction. VBOX is well known to be a very user friendly solution especially with regards to the PC software and analyzing/interpreting the data as an amateur. I have Aim in my MX-5 Cup. I can only compare between the two but I can figure almost everything out in VBOX but have to ask questions or watch tutorials to do anything but the most basic stuff in Aim. The VBOX is not cheap but I would highly recommend it!

Is it a stock 981 GT4 or a Clubsport? My GT4 has the Porsche Track Precision option in it When I used to track the car, it provided a lot of data.Any chance your car has the option?
