Ya I know. What I'm saying is that page is known to be sketchy. They blatantly leave out info on damage etc.

That made the first batch of cars last season very limited.
This season it is still an issue and very difficult to get allocations for these cars as there are not enough to go around.

People who had new cars last season are able to sell them this season used for exactly what they paid for them new and in some cases even more.

For 2023 you are looking at approx 280k plus tax for a new car if you already have an allocation.

Come 2025, there will be no more gas powered cayman race cars therefore these are the last of its kind which may also explain the strong resale.
So does this mean porsche will no longer have a factory GT4 program? or is GT4 homologation expected to change in 2025?

cleaning lady says GT4 car will be a 911 for 2025. Expect it to have a full exhaust, abs, tc and large restrictor.
Question will be if it has sequential or PDK....

You really need to do your due diligence. Know the team and look at their SRO and IMSA season for any heavy contact or wrecks.

Posting the sale link here, just to say that I purchased 1 (of their 4) 981 Clubsports from Team TGM two years ago and overall was a good experience. I don't have any affiliation with the team, but PM me if you want any specifics about my purchase experience (spares, PPI, etc.). Oh, and TGM switched to Aston Martin for 2023 which seems to be the reason for the RS sale.

It’s interesting/concerning that both cars had engine replacements in the first 4-5k km. Any idea what the issue is there? Or if it’s been a problem that’s been identified and addressed?

They had a bad batch which is rare. Good news is that the fresh motors they recieved are perfect and running strong.
My GT4RS was a few VINS after them and we have been trouble free. We ran all last season trouble free and almost won the Daytona 4h last week with the car.

After talking to a few people, turns out the issue was tune related. The PDK on the early cars apparently allowed the engine to overrev. Seems like the 4RS is within a couple seconds of a 991.2 Cup on raw pace. With how much
lower the operating costs are it seems like a great option. But that premium over a used 991.2 Cup washes out any benefit from the lower operating costs.

The GT4RS is still current homogulation which is the benefit for racing in IMSA or SRO but why it also drives up the price. The 991.2 I assume would be PCA and Sprint Challenge nowadays hence the lower resale given its age.

From what I have seen the 4RS is more like 4+ seconds slower than a 991.2 Cup. Sebring a 991.2 Cup is 2:07-2:08 and the 4RS is 2:11-2:12, at least in SRO trim. I am sure the 4Rs would gain some time unrestricted, but not sure we'll see that much until after they are no longer current.

I actually got my figure from a team that runs only PCars. They told me the gap was about 1.5-2s. Both unrestricted as they can run in Porsche Challenge. That’s for a 2:10 lap in the 4RS. Cups with the same driver 2:08’s. Not a US track but I think it’s still fairly representative of the gap.

Mike Skeen ran a 2:09 at Sebring in the 4RS CS unrestricted. Sebring is extremely temperature sensitive so it’s still somewhat apples to oranges.

There was a RS CS at the Sebring club race. It was stupid fast in a straight line.
