I have the car as a backup for IMSA GS at Daytona this month.
After that it will be parked until sold.

can you please describe those quarter window air intakes, how well they work, and where they can be purchased? thanks!

If you are in PRSI the parts are listed in the current parts catalog under "SRO Kit intake system" and the tech manual has install guide. I think there was a bulletin about it also. I haven't done the update though. You could contact PMNA parts for more info.

The quarter intakes are a must have if you race against other caymans that have them or against other GT4 Marques.
They really help the car from suffering the stale hot air that circulates around the previous intakes. Caymans suffer "heat soak" when running in the summer weather. The computer retards the timing and you lose hp.

On the dyno and wind tunnel it shows that the original intakes are useless as the air is turblulant and hot from the engine area. The clean air is up high and you get an almost ram-air effect.
the intake noise is also notable more so when in the car.
This is why the 718 GT4RS coming out soon has them.

PMNA sell them as factory parts for the race car.
BGB sell their version that have better intake tubes that do not sit on the hot engine lid.

CAR IS SOLD.

Has gone to a really good home and will make use of all the SRO electronics in GT4 America.
