I don't get the whole drifting scene etc but this article related to awd 911s is very interesting! I didn't try it on purpose, but when I relate to how my 964 C4 behaves in corners, I doubt I could throw a drift with it... I mean it has RS spec suspension, not stock, but it still understeers a bit. Then add the thing that it's power may be too low for a full drift... I don't know, maybe it's possible...

I have done it with my 1990 C-4 at autocross school around a circle of cones. Give enough throttle in 1st or 2nd gear to get the rear to slide out, and use the accelerator to keep it out/steer. No need to move the steering. You steer with the accelerator. Much fun.
