I went for the base 2018 Cayman (white for AZ; manual and pasm for fun; seat ventilation, lca, and pdls for comfort; black/Bordeaux interior for whimsy; and PEC). This configuration is the closest I could come to a 1958 356...kind of a nostalgia thing, just fun to drive but now a lot safer. I also have a 2015 Macan S (white ext, black int, pdk, premium plus pkg, pasm, lca, cargo tray) which is used for moving people and stuff around. The total cost for both is in the 911 range. Of course, I would be happy to add a Targa, but now my garage is full....

I always wanted a GT3 for as long as I could remember, but ended up getting a GT4 as my first Porsche. Although I look longingly at the GT3 and GT3 RS, I'd be more interested in getting a GT4 RS if Porsche announce one than any 911 iteration at the moment.
The Cayman is a decent sports car and has earned it's place as a proper Porsche imo.
