991.1 911 GTS vs. 991.2 911 Carrera S
Hi All,
The question is simple. The answer, not so much...
Gently used 2015/16 911 GTS or a new 2017 911 Carrera S? I understand that the move to forced induction has created a very torque forward 991.2 that, when comparing the S model, is faster than the 991.1 GTS. I'm not all about speed/torque though, would go with the manual transmission regardless of my choice, and would drive it 2 to 3 times a week.
Any thoughts from the experts on this forum?

For the 991.2 S I suspect that the PDK will allow far easier 'access' to all that (superb) performance but since when did working harder for something reduce the satisfaction of attainment ? I'd argue that the PDK robs you of that ultimate fulfilment...
If you feel tempted by a box-fresh S Gen 2, however, then I'd keep options to a barest minimum and 'go manual' to get closer to a purer driving experience, especially if you're not commuting.
Oh, yes, a nice solid color, too: Miami, Graphite....or, if you've the patience, spend the money you've saved on buying a load of avoirdupois-adding shizzle and wait for a PTS. But that's purely my subjective view.
