2013 (997) Porsche Turbo S vs. 2016 (991) Porsche GTS Which to Buy???

Hi,

I'm looking to buy a used Porsche and am considering between these two models. Which one should I decide on and why?
My budget is around $100,000.

Thanks!
Any suggestions are welcome as well!

These are two very different cars! The 997 Turbo is a monster, with the power it makes and AWD to put that down to the road as efficiently as possible. The GTS will feel much more nimble and probably will be considered the more 'pure' 911 experience. Whichever of those sounds more attractive is up to you, but they are both awesome vehicles.

Also, you can get the GTS with a 7-speed manual. The Turbo S is PDK only. If you're going with PDK, I would go Turbo S without question.

But does the fact that the Turbo S is from 2013 change anything? It's an older model...

Only 3 year difference. What concerns you about the age? These cars have traditionally held up very well over time, so as long as regular maintenance has been followed, I wouldn't worry about buying a 2013 at all. The only other difference between the two with the change in chassis will be that the newest technology gizmos and gadgets will be available on the newer car.

I agree with the assessment above. The two cars are so different in nature that there will be virtually no similarities in the driving experience. I suggest you drive both then choose the one you like the most.
