2010 front emblem fell out/got stolen and have a new one to install. Before I force this into place and brake the plastic hooks on the back. Please give me guidance.
Does the receiving plate attached to the bumper need to be removed before attaching the emblem? 2 pics are attached of the parts

I realize you posted this some time back however I just ran across it. The plastic piece that's sitting in your bumper cover is the same black plastic piece on the back of the hood crest in your second pic. Pop off the piece from the back of the replacement crest and push the crest into the one that's still in your bumper cover.

Got it, Pried the old one off and pressed in the new on.
