So, the car didn't sell at auction twice and I'm now in contact with owner via auction house.
I sold it in 1999 and it looks like it went to the UK the same year but not registered until some years later.
It's now in Holland on UK plates.

Outside of the re-spray and door mirrors, it's looks the same. Same seats, same carpet, same momo steering wheel, same K&N sticker on the airbox that I put there in 1997.

The listing says the respray is gemini blue. When I compare with my old pics or several online, I think it's actually a darker shade of blue.

Listing also says car has less than 100K miles on it, it had 140K miles when I bought it in 1997.

Waiting on info I have requested ( maintenance records, pics underside, rebuild and repaint receipt and pics ) for a few weeks....
Sellers target price is 997S GEN1 money.
