Porsche mechanic wanna be
Looking for advice on how to become a porsche mechanic. I'm 45 and have had a fairly successful career in the investment field. My plan is to hopefully have the option to retire by 50 or possibly switch careers. My ideal exit strategy would to be able to work on my own cars. I'm not sure I want to do it full time but I've considered attending a tech school like UTI, Wyotech... But I live in upstate NY and that would present some challenges. I'd love to be able to buy an older project car and do a complete rebuild, not necessarily the body work side of it more on the mechanical side.
My career is still demanding on my time as I travel quite a bit. But I'm considering getting a 991 in the next year or two, curently I have a Dodge Viper and had an '85 Targa i sold about 6 years ago. I've never done any work on my cars but really want to learn how to work on cars. What's the best to learn.
