Question Where can I find BBS LM replicas for Porsche?

Hi,

I am looking for a set of LeMans replicas for my 993, but so far I haven't been lucky. It seems to be a lot of replicas for other marques, but nothing that will fit the 5x130 bolt pattern...?

Any suggestions?

Regards,
Oystein W.

Hi!

I can't help you if you want replicas.

The replicas can be very weak in terms of strength, as can most replicas of any wheel. I personally wouldn't want replicas, for strength reasons.

If you are set on that wheel, I would look for real ones. A few people have them on a 964 or 993.

You can also find similar styles made by CCW, Fikse, HRE, and many others. Also consider the Porsche Sport Classic II wheel.

Try posting in the 993 forum as well.

Take care!

Thanks for your reply! Without any doubt; the real thing would be the optimal solution...except for the price to pay. I find original LMs quite expensive (at least here in Norway), especially if you are buying brand new wheels in 19"...and I would rather use that money on other upgrades. Still I want a nice set of staggering wheels on my 993. Perhaps there are no other way than to open up my wallet a bit further...

I have had some really nice LM replicas on a BMW Z3 Coupé; they were quite cheap, looked stunning (in my opinion) and seemed pretty solid/well-built (a bit heavy though). See attached photos of my good, old bimmer with the replicas below.

I'm jumping in on this thread cause I have had several sets of LM reps on several cars and never had a problem. I'd love some 19" LM reps in 8.5 and 10 or 11"... Lovely on 993's

I prefer the LM's with the 20 bolts, flat center mounting area and stepped lip. I LOVE 19's on 993's...
