Default Transport companies

Just got a quote from Reliable on shipping a 997 and it's a bit high. What are the transport companies others have used that weren't outrageous in price? Thanks for any suggestions.

I have used several carriers (Intercity, TNT, Passport, etc) and by FAR the best ever is Plycar.

Guy who bought my 07 GT3 used them to transfer the car from Ga. to Ca....was very impressed so I decided to use them when I bought my '11 RS in January. Their service was incredible; worked directly with the owners son (Nicholas Pliaconis); when I asked if they could pick the car up on a specific date they replied "what time?"...Intercity would only say "between Wed and Saturday". Driver arrived at exactly 8am on the day, car was loaded up top in the nose per my request. It left L.A. at Noon ET on Wed and was in my garage in Atlanta 3pm on Saturday...never moved, zero add'l miles and perfect condition. They were also the least expensive of the 3 I checked (Reliable, Intercity, Plycar) but would have gladly paid more for the great service. Would not hesitate to use them again.

I used Horseless Carriage when I bought my Ferrari from NY. I was impressed w/ the detail of the "before" record of the car taken.

I used an independent shipper recommended by the person working on my car - it cost me about $600 each way from Rhode Island to Georgia. It was Backwoods Trucking.
