Lightbulb Dyeing Leather Steering wheel cover

Does anyone have a suggestion on what kind of dye to use for dyeing a Black leather steering wheel cover. I need a dye that covers well and not one of the self shining types. All they do is give it a shining appearance, without much dye coverage. When my car was painted, there were some minor spots of white in the grip area that I didn't discover until recently when cleaning the windshield. I found some Fiebings Black at the local shoe shop, but have not used it before, therefore asking for expert advice. Any help will be appreciated.
