Post 1968 911L or what

Can anyone out there offer insight as to the parentage of 1968 911L which I am restoring? This roller chassis was obtained to accept the mechanicals from a rustbucket 67 911 but there's a skunk in the woodpile. All the info i know of designates this chassis 11805051 as a 68 911L which should be a carb equipped vehicle. All chassis #'s are original but this car is set for MFI with fuel lines and electrics for such. This appears to be original factory installation down to weld tabs for fuel lines. Is this a bastard of merit which requires TLC or a fluke? Before I send for Cardex info , can anyone offer any insight.

Yes, 11805051 is a 1968 911L USA/CDN coupe, with a 901/14 engine serial 3280001 and greater. You should find the serial number to the right of the fan on a vertical boss, and about 2" forward stamped in the metal should be the engine type 901/14. Perhaps this might help decipher what you have or don't have.

Just bought this car. It was never restored since this post 22 years ago. Should be interesting.
