Hoffman, I didn't go to college until I was almost 30. I've been a Porsche guy since I was 22. Follow your heart? I love Porsches and everything they represent(except for that frickin' Truck they're making now.THAT breaks my heart!)
Mr Trinkle, Good to here from another porsche nut! What the hell are you doin' in Arkansas?
Tim on John's computer.

Mr Comeau! What am I doin' in Arkansas? Well, besides absolutely nothing.....We take one of the Porsches out on some of the most unbelievable roads you can imagine. Or we take the boat out on an incredibly beautiful lake, that happens to be in our backyard, literally!
After retiring from Beverly Hills Motoring and after having my own business, Fast Lane, for 8 years we decided to 'escape' LA. My wife was managing the Reiser-Callas Rennsport ALMS team and got pretty burnt out from all the travel. So we sold almost everything, except the 2100 Porsche scale models of course, and moved to Hot Springs National Park! My Mom is originally from here and we brought her back after my Dad passed away 3 years ago. She has sisters and cousins etc. here and nobody in California. She'll be 89 next month!
I miss all of our Porsche friends, but we see all 900 of them at Dunkels every year. I honestly can't imagine ever moving back to So Cal. Now moving to Monterey or Carmel might be a possibilty! I just don't miss the two hours on the freeways to go 25 miles. I did that for way too many years.
Keep in touch, and we'll see you in February!

February it is! I've been kind of busy myself with a new job and starting the 944-spec series on the West Coast. Also, I have a little boy now! 17 months next week. He can barely run, but he already knows how to heel and toe!
Cheers!

That's really a very entertaining thread.
Although my mother-tongue is German, I'm not sure that I can help you on the phonetics. Since we - the Swiss - are not really famous for having a good High German.
But at least, I have the right keyboard to write Piëch correctly (hope it will also appear correctly on your screens). The "e" carries two dots on it, which tells you that both the 'i' and the 'e' are pronounced. Normally, a 'e' after an 'i' is not pronounced.
"Porsche" is a two syllable word and the 'e' at the end is pronounced (similar to the first 'e' in the English "energy") in about any German dialect I can think of.
Greetings from the other side of the pond to all you "German-students". Thank you for entertaining me so good (I'm sure my English in this post will entertain you as well.) <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />
