Post Porsche Font??

I came across something that I did not know before. The instructions in the Porsche Pylon re the engraving states the following, in part:

"The customers name should be engraved on the top line....etc.etc. and goes on to say that "The corporate Porsche AG typeface has to be used: NEWS GOTHIC 10 pt.

Could this be the name of the typeface for the Porsche Font???

News Gothic looks like this:

<a href="http://www.adobe.com/type/browser/P/P_030.jhtml;jsessionid=AN4FX1KNMZCSTQFI0IKBLL4AVDJBKIV2?id=type-010" target="_blank">http://www.adobe.com/type/browser/P/P_030.jhtml;jsessionid=AN4FX1KNMZCSTQFI0IKBLL4AVDJBKIV2?id=type-010</a>

It is probably the corporate font used for ads and publications, not the font used for the logo itself.

The name of the "Porsche font" really depends on the font library you're using. In ours it is "Euro Bold Extended." The letters are 3 times as long as they are tall, and they have rounded corners. If you know the above name, and you do now, you can cross it over to whatever font library your graphics people use.

You can download the Porsche font from our very own rennlist site <a href="http://www.rennlist.org/font/" target="_blank">here</a>.

However, I have not been able to find the font used for the "turbo" lettering, which is the same one used for the "Cayenne" lettering.

I actually need it for an internal project, so if somebody knows where to obtain a copy, I'd be much obliged.

Regards.

Thanks Vik, I do remember that John put the Porsche font up some time ago.

Re the other font; I think the same one is used for "Carrera; Turbo; Cayenne; Speedster; etc. If you want to have some fun looking for it try <a href="http://www.tont.com" target="_blank">www.tont.com</a> or <a href="http://www.fonts.com" target="_blank">www.fonts.com</a> it's sort of a search engine for fonts...very interesting.
