If it were up to me, I'd take a nice Ferrari F40 LM, and i'd be fine.

The F40 has also held up well, resale value wise. I'd go with the enzo if I could keep my C4S.

why the hell are you guys worried about resale value??!?!?!?!?!?! you do not sell these cars!!

and to whoever said the CGT was a race car frame could you tell me which race car its from, i haven't seen Porsche into racing since the GT-1, besides factory gt3

i am passionate about Porsche but to me the enzo will trump all cars ever made for the street, it is the pinnacle or motor cars, i do not see how someone could improve on a car like the enzo

I am still for the 962 LM street version. 404 km/h faster than any Enzo and GT and a real race cars for the street. same price as the Gt but much fatsre :-)

Konstantin
BTW the ENZO need a full rebuild every 10-15000 km and teh cost is about 3 times more than for a Pagani Zonda. Even for rich guys still too much money.
With a Porsche you can drive for years and you never need a rebuild

I take the Carrera GT all day long. It's just going to be the better car. Read Dupont Registry! I love the Farrari and Lambo adds: 20,000 miles, totally rebuilt top to bottom or $30,000, 24,000 mile maintenance. I realize that if you had that kind of money, you wouldn't care but I would. I don't want something that is semi-reliable. I'd be afraid to get stuck somewhere. That GT is all machine.

CGT all the way. No contest. If Walter Rohrl is freightened by it, then it's got to be a great car. And with all that Porsche endurance experience, reliability should be good. Also, the Enzo is barely as pretty as some cow's asses I've seen around the farm lately.

The Carrera GT is one of the best looking cars I have ever seen in the flesh. I stood quietly in awe of it, along with many others, at the birmingham motor show in 2001. Since then it has been given a roof and looks even better.
The Enzo on the other hand i thought was a disappointment, cluttered, unnecessarily angular, not smooth and stylish like their previous efforts. To me it still looks too much like a concept drawing. To be honest, I didn't really like the shape of the F-50 either. The F-40 was the last ferrari supercar that i really liked the look of.
I imagine the Enzo will sound good for the first 200 miles before its cam belt snaps and the engine explodes, the CGT will sound good for 100s of 1000s of miles probably needing little more that fluid and brake changes

The Bugatti (well, really VW) Veyron is a thug of a car trying to break the records set by Gordon Murray's exquisitly engineered and more aerodynamic MacLaren F1. It would be a shame for the F1 to loose its crown to some cumbersome 1001hp muscle-tank. But we'll have to wait and see, acceleration pretty much boils down to torque over weight, and the bugatti is very very heavy.

I'd have the Porsche, no question.

well first off, the GT is aimed more towards the 360 isn't it??

my pick is the enzo, seen both in flesh, and as sweet looking as the GT is, the Enzo is just breathtaking.

I think people own a ferrari just to say: yes i own a Ferrari.(wich one is sleeping in a garage eating dust)
i prefer to drive it and live with it.(And to know that the car take me back home!!!)

Well, I drive my 575M every day and I own it because it is an outstanding GT. I don't see why one car's success requires the other brand's expense.

The F40 kicks my 959's *** in some arenas, but I've got the one of those two I'd like. Now as for CGT and Enzo? I think the jury is still out -- not in the least because I am not sure how many more than 1,000 Porsche will actually make.

For now, I'm sticking with "I'd rather have the Enzo" -- even though I am about 10 times more likely to actually consider the CGT. I figure a nice low miles 03/04 will be available at sitcker -100K within 18 months. I hope I'm wrong though.

I used to think that the Enzo was to angular and ugly until I saw it at the New York auto show. It is definately a beautiful car, but my choice between the two still goes with the Porsche CGT. Why? Its a long love afair with the greatest cars ever built, and they just keep getting better. As for the Bugatti, I'd have to wait till they bring it over to Pebble Beach this year to take a closer look. The Saleen S7 is sneaking up behind the CGT though, there was a great article in this months Road and Track on it.
