Superb mark.

It was only recently that someone explained what FUBAR actually meant

David, its Rolling Around The Floor Laughing My A$se Off, just like the smiley suggests

I have another one, but not sure I should post it here

Cheers,
John.

By the way, I'm fine with either venue but prefer the 'Hounds' one (or whatever its called, I've given up learning pub names). Like the rest, if we got to Browns (or was that Edwards?) I'll probably take my mate's clapped out gold/rust Fiesta.

Hilarious - all this talk of bringing out the beaters for a porsche club night. I feel like I need to get my bike out of the mothballs.

I don't rate Browns for parking, though there is an expensive manned car park next door. I've seen plenty of Ferrari and P-cars in there. It would be busy on a Friday, though. There are also multi-storey car parks nearby. I can make a recc if you like. cheers

We are a bunch of wimps but then who cares?! I work bloody hard to keep my car looking good (going well, sounding nice, etc,etc....) Let's go with the nice car park...please!

Thanks for the acronyms; that LOL has been driving me nuts.

Chaps - as much as I dont mind travelling to Windsor, if you're all meeting at a place where noones happy to take their Porsches then I'll probably give it a miss - perhaps next time.

Hi Everyone,

I'm off on business for the rest of the week. Can we agree on the Horse and Hounds and arrange this meeting or are we going to scare everyone else off with our tales of impending doom about Browns?

Cheers,

David

Have to say I'd be more happy with the gentile surroundings and spacious car park of the Fox & Hounds than the Friday night Fox Fest that is Brown's.... what the hell am I saying

Seriously, if were gonna talk Pork (that's Porsche) we should at least be able to nip into the car park for an improptu "where's that then/show me/let me listen" etc

Of course we could quite legitimately have a "beater meet" (careful ) while the sun's still hiding before we get to the summer and light evenings where we can all whip our our Pork without fear or favour?

My Saab 900 vs JohnW's Passat vs Rob's Cherokee let the games commence

PS - Think I need a lie down

Right, I'm making an executive decision.
Fox & Hounds it is.

Well, it is for me anyway. I'll be there around 7:15 (ish - I'm always late !)

If the 64 guys want ot come join us they would be more than welcome.

BTW Mark, I've almost perfected the handbrake turns in the passat estate now, much to Sally's disgust

See you all in a couple of weeks guys.

And don't forget to bring ideas for a photo meet some time later in the year.

Cheers,
John.

Me three, 7.15 Fox & Hounds, Bishopsgate, Nr Englefield Green, Nr Egham, just up the road from Maranello Concessionaires on the A30.... (for those who haven't been there before)

David (Cavemen) remember to wear something distinctive this time, we don't want to miss you again!

JohnW, Unfortunately the handbrake on my Saab works on the front wheels so it's impossible to do handbrake turns, even in the snow

Do they do food in the evening?
Bar snacks/waitress served/separate dining room?
Quality?
Should we eat before?

John M,

Yes, they do food (actually, I remember you eating there last time!).

See you all on Friday. Tito, same place same time? (Tesco @ 6.30/7.00)?

I've just seen that its a Friday!! No way I'd get there at 7.15 - more like 11.15 by the time I get home from work and work my way round the M25 etc.

Well have a good 'un - maybe next time. If anyone's of a more easterly persuasion then I'll happily scout around for a place with a big car park in the Herts/Essex/EastLondon/Cambridges area.
