Post Amusing/horrifying 911 restoration story

I came across this rather 'unusual' restoration project story, which I thought some of you might enjoy!

It would make Ferdinand turn in his grave!!

I think the real winner of that story was the guy that sold the car for $7000 to the author of this web page...

Unbelievably great story...could be pubished as a short story. the author certainly knows how to use a computer. I wonder why he didn't have a plethora of pictures of his finished product.

I wonder???

Thumbs up

He may not of done it the "right way" but good luck to him! Here's a guy with not much dosh who has managed to resurrect what was a basket case and give it a few more years. As 993 owners we are obviously worth a few quid and wouldn't dream of doing some of the things that he did but not every one has our good fortune so I say "Way to go".

Yes, its a great story and you have to always commend someone for putting an effort in. However I really think that his car is actually VERY expensive. He must have spent what, about $2k on it since he bought it, maybe $1k? Add that up to the $7k purchase price and you'll have a $8k car which will probably only last 10,000 or so more miles. Not such a bargain on the dollar per mile front, in my opinion.

Also, poor 911, I feel sorry for it. How do people let such a great car go to rack and ruin like that
