A delegate representing Frederick & Carroll counties has introduced legislation to make Maryland a 1-plate state. This will save Maryland tax payers about $500K next year and about $720K each year thereafter.

For those of you who also hate having to stick a plate on the front of your car, please consider signing the e-petition showing your support for this bill.

Yea, I'll sign...but...reality is, Red light cameras here generate $175k a QUARTER...per INTERSECTION. Snowballs chance in *ell. Option 2, 'Fold-a-Plate' ... at least make them match your bumper and open up the radiators.

Ronin, what system does Spokane use? Here on the west side, they all take rear plate pics, and there are really only 2 main players in that game. Illegal for front as it might capture a face pic. Not that we can sign Marylands petition anyway.

Heck, if we got something like that started here in WA, I'd be all for hiring ACORN to gather 'signatures.'
