I have both the Puma Speed Cat and Piloti Mulholland II. The Piloti has a MUCH thicker sole and upper and is probably better for walking/standing, but I prefer the Puma for driving. I take a full size larger in the Piloti.

Any sneaker works.....doesn't make a big diff to me.

I wear Piloti's for everything including work They make a casual driving shoe that looks great.

I second the Piloti Prototipos. They make different versions and I fund the Prototipos are the best all around. High enough side but not too high along with good fit and feel. Water proof and fire resistant.

I have several pair of the Porsche design driving shoes and they are nice but become uncomfortable after a few hours of wearing.
