Could someone please explain to me, you know when the steering like completely goes and the bike starts wobbling a lot and then they eventually crash - what exactly is it that broke :s? cause i keep seeing it happen in loads of vids etc.
damn. thats pretty damn dangerous! ****ing idiots these days.. u would get killed with quickness like that someday.. u never know that could happen to anyone...don't matter if ur a professional or not....

this is usually caused coming out of corners where the bike changes direction quickly. the contact patch rapidly moves from one side of the tire to the other while friction is also being used up in some combination of cornering, acceleration, and breaking. the bike momentarily exceeds the friction threshold of the tires and momentarily oscilates. when this happens in a car, you skid cause you have four wheels. on a bike, you skip to the side, which induces the wobble. if you do not correct for it properly--just a little out of synch--it rapidly increases and results in a crash.
